Engineering Courses
Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) is a four-year professional undergraduate programme covering all engineering and technology subjects. BTech can be done in different specializations. Engineering is one of the most popular degrees in India, and many top institutes offer engineering courses. JEE Main and JEE Advanced are the most common BTech admissions examinations. In addition to these national-level entrance exams, there are other state-level and private-level entrance exams that students can take to get admission to this programme. Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics is the minimum requirement for admission to BTech. Nonetheless, each entrance exam and institution has additional requirements. Some of the institutes offer admission on the basis of merit, i.e., on the basis of the candidates' Class 12 standardized scores.
Every year, all engineering entrance tests are administered in April, May, and June. After the release of each exam's results, the relevant authorities start the counseling and seat allocation process. During counseling, students must select their preferred college and courses based on their ranks. After seat allocation, each student must attend their assigned engineering institution to complete admissions requirements.
In technological domains, the employment options for BTech graduates are numerous. In India, any graduate who has successfully completed a BTech degree can find employment in nearly every sector. BTech graduates are not only hired as engineers but also as consultants, subject matter experts, researchers, managers, etc. After completing their 4-year BTech programme, many BTech graduates pursue an MBA degree. While others take GATE in order to pursue advanced degrees in the specified specializations while some BTech graduates start their own Start-up.
